Been there, done that

Stockholm was a strange experience. Fashion city, no way around it, incredibly beautiful people, blonde girls and boys, long legs and blue eyes. Spend the nights at a WOW-gambling ex-alcoholic with a faible for having as many couchsurfers as possible and the days hasting through streets and Slussen and Södermalm. 

Found a lot of stores, but half of it can be found in Hamburg, too, so that's gonna be my next "big" destination.

We even had the opportunity to check out electro-bitches (Robyn) In-Club on Hornstull Strand, standing in line in the middle of insanely young people who all looked like models. The music was great, the prices were extreme and we danced until my spine striked and we had to go home. 

Stockholm, on the other hand, is not very pretty. It looks nice from the inside, but quite ugly from the outside. As soon as you leave the center for more than two metres you are welcomed by concrete-landscapes and pedestrian underpasses which are crossed by huuge motorways. Besides that, winter doesn't do any good to the city, but that's a fact that doesn't suit many cities, so it just is as it is. Maybe I have to return in summer and I also have to see more of Sweden, for sure!

Also, next time I have to rent a huge transporter to get away with all those adorable interior articles that could be found in every second store. Swedish people don't just have a sense for fashion, they have also a sense for better living! Well, IKEA might not just be popular by accident.

Artsy me

Well, this is my first project I ever planned and finished! It's a - in case you can't recognize it - small woolbag for things like phones or iPods and stuff. I just learned how to knit and was soon bored by just knitting straight (yeah, I need to learn how to make socks and mittens soon), so I figured I can still make something out if it. 

Unfortunately I have to give it away tomorrow, I made it for my sisters 16th birthday and I hope she'll like it, despite all the beauty mistakes which - in my opinion - make it even more lovely.

 In less than two weeks me and my boyfriend are going to Stockholm for our first time ever!

I am so excited, all the time when I had swedish class at University, I asked myself how it will be, going to Sweden one time. I still don't know, but I already made a list of things and places I want to see. On top of course - fashion victim as I am - I'm gonna take a glimpse on all the vintage stores they have! Also, there is a free exhibition at the Kulturhuset about Tokyo Photography which sounds really interesting.

Unfortunately, we still could not figure out our place to stay. I am trying via couchsurfing, but I already send about 28 request, got 7 "no"s, one "maybe, but more likely not" and one "maybe, looks good, but ask me later". Still, there are 19 answers left and I am too excited to care about it. So here is for the first time in a long time the optimist speaking in me!

Until then, I am going to dream of Stockholm stores and people and maybe, also talking swedish again (which I do, strangely, in dreams alot, where I can speak swedish fluently! I wish this could be reality).
