12 months

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

- since 2007 I have been on a festival again and it turned out to be one of the best times I had in 2009
- for the first time I have been to England, to see London and experiencing the world of Couchsurfing
- for the last time I attended a seminar at University.. but still I have one year to go!
- I tried to be more open, more creative and more self-concious, but still, it is hard if your mind is not willing
- I made no friendships this year which makes me sad

- for 2010, I am both afraid and excited as I am starting my diploma thesis soon, maybe getting a job and wanting to travel far more than in 2009

Christmas Post #1

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Maybe it is a bit late, but who knows, maybe some of my Christmas wishes for this year already have been heard.

as I am still new in the world of photography - and I am still in love with my Canon 1000D - I sometimes would like to take pictures without having to think about the perfect lightning and so on. Holgagraphy definitely would light up my life, literally!

nowadays listening to music seems quite unspecial and unromantical. Listening via iTunes or iPod it has become quite unexciting to enjoy music. So getting back (or ever experiencing) this special feeling I put a    record player on my christmas list.

as I already mentioned, I am still in love with my Canon EOS 1000d, but I need to proceed! Since I bought this camera I just worked with the lens it came with in the package. I definitely need a new one!

and for the last wish, I thought about getting something that on the one hand cheers me up and on the other hand provides me with art and inspiration. Lowdown magazine from Berlin is a magazine about art, movies, music, fashion and people and I think I this should be the present I'll get for myself!

So Santa, hurry up! Stores are closing at 2pm, Dec 24th!

if I had a heart I could love you

Wednesday night we spent our time in Hamburg, a city where I've never been before. Hastening through the streets, seeing the harbour from the Autobahn, it makes you a bit sad that you are not able to enjoy the smell of a strange city by night.
Seeing Fever Ray though gave me back the familiar feeling of falling in love with moments and atmospheres. The above picture shows Hildur Guðnadóttir, a young icelander playing the cello. I liked her music a lot, it was minimalistic and sometimes unapproachable and shy.
